Director of Central Criminal Police Department of MIA, Mr. Ivane Papiashvili and head of Labor and Employment Policy Department, Ms. Elza Jgerenaia signed the Memorandum on Mutual Cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia on assistance in detection of cases of human trafficking.
The aim of the Memorandum is planning and implementation of effective measures for the prevention of crime of human trafficking, as well as increasing effectiveness of fight against and detection of the cases of human trafficking. Besides cooperation and exchange of information within the competence of two agencies, the Memorandum envisages exchange of experience and planning of joint awareness raising activities.
The Memorandum will serve as an additional proactive tool in fight against crime of Human Trafficking.
