Within the frames of the three-day-visit Ministry of Internal Affairs hosted Delegation headed by the Director of the International Relations Department of the Turkish National Police and group of Turkish experts. Main purpose of the meeting is to increase mutual cooperation in fighting trafficking in drugs.
During the visit the representatives of the International Relations Department, the Central Criminal Police Department, MIA Academy, the Patrol Police Department and the Expert Forensic Main Division held meetings with the experts of Turkish National Police. Turkish side got acquainted with Georgian law on narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. The parties also discussed the strategies of fight against narcotics trafficking and plans of future cooperation.
Sides discussed prospects for joint activities in the field of the fight against drugs as well as plans for future cooperation. The Turkish Delegation visited forensic laboratory of the Ministry and the Vale Border Crossing Point.
