Director of the Patrol Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia - Vazha Siradze and other top managers of the department visited the United States on the issue related to traffic safety with the support of the International Bureau of Anti-Narcotics and Law Enforcement Cooperation (INL) of the US State Department.
During the visit, representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs visited police departments of Colorado and Illinois states and received information on issues such as: analysis of traffic accidents and conducting statistics; identification of “black zones”; procedures required for conducting drug/alcohol testing; ensuring safety during sports events; discovering drugs/bombs by the K-9 service, etc.
Representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs visited 911 office and got familiarized with specifics of the operation of traffic surveillance cameras, as well as mobile laboratory, special purpose and patrol vehicles, motorcycles.
International Bureau of Anti-Narcotics and Law Enforcement Cooperation (INL) of the US State Department has been cooperating with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia for many years in the areas of traffic safety, cybercrime, domestic violence, trafficking, tactical training, juvenile crime prevention and other important areas.
