The units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are intensively controlling the process of enforcing the established regulations on access roads to the cemeteries throughout the territory of Georgia for the second day in a row. Police officers enforce existing regulations on cemeteries in both, the capital of the country and the regions.
According to the Resolution of the Government of Georgia N322 of May 23, 2020, in order to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus, citizens will not be allowed to enter the territory of cemeteries throughout Georgia from May 2 to May 4 of the current year. Violation of the restrictions envisages a fine of 2000 GEL.
The restrictions do not apply only to the funeral process.
In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus, it is important that all persons on the territory of Georgia comply with the requirements defined by the Georgian legislation on public health.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs calls on citizens to demonstrate high public responsibility and comply with mentioned regulations.
