The helicopter of the MIA Border Police of Georgia made civil flights to Tusheti to assist the locals. In addition to rotating the border guards and transporting their cargo, the helicopter flights to Alvani-Omalo delivered several locals and their basic products to the villages of Tusheti.
Due to difficult geographical and meteorological conditions, the villages of Tusheti are still cut off from the outside world, thus communication with the population is provided through the Border Police helicopters.
