Patrol Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs would like to inform citizens that on December 14, closing ceremony of the week, dedicated to the celebration of the Georgian chairmanship of the Council of Europe will be held. Due to the mentioned event traffic movement will be restricted in some districts of the capital.
On December 13, beginning from 14:00 the traffic movement will be fully restricted on Freedom Square and traffic will be moving by using alternate routes, namely:
-Traffic moving from Baratashvili Bridge will be moving through Revaz Tabukashvili and Gia Chanturia Streets to the direction of Rustaveli Avenue;
-Traffic movement for large-sized vehicles will be restricted on Vaakhtang Gorgasali Square, while small vehicles will be enabled to move on Kote Abkhazi Street and Baratashvili Street by passing Silver Street;
-Traffic movement moving from Lado Asatiani Street will be able to use the route leading to Shalva Dadiani Street, thus the traffic will be re-directed to the direction of Ovanes Tumaniani Street, to the direction of Vakhtang Gorgasali Square;
Traffic moving on Merab Kostava Street, will be re-directed to the former post building and continue movement to the direction of Republic Square and Elbakidze Street. However, traffic movement will be restricted to Freedom Square;
- all streets, crossing Rustaveli Avenue will be available for the traffic- starting from the former building of the post to the Freedom Square.
Traffic movement will be regulated by the Patrol Police crews and in case of necessity, drivers will be additionally instructed by the patrol officers.
