The divers and rescuers of Fire and Rescue Forces Department of the Emergency Situations Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received latest models of contemporary diving equipment.
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs - Ioseb Chelidze and Head of Emergency Situations Management Service - Teimuraz Mgebrishvili, at the base of the Main Division for Responding to Emergency Situations, inspected the special equipment purchased by the service and got familiarized with its characteristics personally.
The event was attended by the first deputy head of the Emergency Situations Management Service - Roin Varshanidze and the head of the Fire-Rescue Forces Department - Davit Sukhishvili.
Last year, the Emergency Situations Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs purchased special uniforms and various types of equipment worth more than 8 million GEL. Thus, the special equipment of mountain and diving rescuers was completely updated.
The Emergency Situations Management Service will actively continue supplying its personnel with new equipment, special uniforms and vehicles this year as well.
