The American evaluator - John Vanderkolk and the Senior Police Advisor - Eric Siweck visited the Forensic-Criminalistics Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, within the framework of development in the field of forensic examination, organized by the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).
John Vanderkolk held a meeting with Giorgi Tvauri, the director of the Forensic-Criminalistics Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Within the framework of the visit, the American evaluator got acquainted with the specifics of the work of Forensic-Criminalistics Department and toured through the DNA laboratory, ballistics examination, dactyloscopic examination and chemical examination laboratories.
The U.S. State Department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) has been successfully cooperating with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia for many years.
