In order to honor the memory of those fallen during the August War 2008, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has lowered flags on all buildings of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. 12 years ago, in August of 2008, 14 officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and 5 employees of the Coast Guard have been killed.
