We express deep condolence in connection with the accident as a result of which a man was killed by the tiger. The investigation on the fact has already been launched. Despite of the information according to which none of the wild animals were on the loose, Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia did not abort the patrolling activities in the disaster affected zone. The building where the tiger attacked the citizen was checked for several times. MIA representatives couldn’t access the building as the windows of the building have iron bars and the door was closed. The citizen who had opened the iron door was the first one to access the building and became the victim of the wild animal. He was accompanied by two more citizens who managed to escape and notified the law enforcers. The relevant MIA units are holding search activities at the moment throughout the capital. Investigation is launched by the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia.
