The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia calls on the citizens to avoid moving in the streets of the capital. Natural disaster that took place in Tbilisi last night, damaged the cages in Tbilisi Zoo and animals managed to flee from the park. The Ministry of Internal Affairs is in close cooperation with the Zoo administration and the existed situation is under full control. Each and every division of the Ministry is fully mobilized in order to timely find the animals, give them injections and return to the Zoo. according to the existed information some of the lost animals are found and put to sleep with special injection, whilst some of the animals were shot. Due to security measures, the Ministry advises the citizens to stay in their homes and kindly asks to call 112 and inform the police in case they notice any animal. The Ministry will provide citizens with updated information on the issue on periodic basis.
