According to the Resolution of the Government of Georgia N322 of May 23, 2020, in order to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus, citizens will be restricted from entering the territory of cemeteries throughout Georgia from May 2 to May 4 of the current year.
The restrictions do not apply only to the funeral process.
From May 2, the police will monitor the roads leading to the cemeteries and the implementation of the imposed regulations throughout Georgia. In case of violation of the restrictions, individuals will be fined in the amount of 2000 GEL.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs calls on citizens to demonstrate high public responsibility and comply with mentioned regulations. All persons on the territory of Georgia must follow requirements defined by the Georgian legislation on public health.
