According to the decision of the Inter-Agency Coordination Council of the Georgian government, disinfection works are being carried out in all structural units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs throughout the country. In order to prevent the spreading of the new coronavirus disease and to offer effective risk management, special working groups have been formed comprised of the staff of Forensic-Criminalistics Department, who have undergone respective training courses on safety measures. Work groups will carry out disinfection works in different units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs located across the country with special disinfection-dispersing equipment and in appropriate uniforms.
For effective risk management, disinfection activities have already been carried in Public Safety Management Center 112 Rustavi branch where exterior and internal spaces have been treated with special solutions, including central hall, meeting rooms and space for the service administration. Work spaces and internal areas of Special Tasks Department units have also been treated with disinfection solutions.
Entire perimeters of Mtskheta-Mtianeti and Kvemo Kartli Police Departments have been disinfected including temporary detention cells.
In order to prevent the spreading of the new coronavirus disease and to offer effective risk management, disinfection will be carried out on the regular basis in all structural units of the Ministry of Internal affairs.
