The delegation of the Inspectorate General of the Security Forces of the Czech Republic visited the structural units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia. Members of the delegation visited the Service Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Unified Service Center of the Patrol Police Department, the Public Security Command Center - "112" and the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The guests at the Service Agency were hosted by the director of the agency Besik Tepnadze. The members of the delegation had the opportunity to see the registration space of the Rustavi Central Department and received comprehensive information on the existing services, attended the process of passing the theoretical and practical examinations for obtaining a driving license and process of production of the state license plate.
At the end of the visit to the Service Agency, the head of the delegation, the director of the Inspectorate General of the Czech Security Forces - Radim Dragoun was presented with a state number plate as a gift.
Vazha Siradze, Director of the Patrol Police Department, hosted the members of the delegation at the Unified Service Center of the Patrol Police Department. He briefed the guests on the activities of the Patrol Police Department and the reforms implemented, as well as the services available for citizens at the Unified Service Center on the basis of the so called "single window" principle.
The members of the delegation also visited the Public Safety Command Center, where the director of "112", Giorgi Arsoshvili, introduced guests to the existing practice in the field of emergency management in Georgia.
The Czech guests visited the call center and got familiarized and attended the work process of operators and dispatchers. They received detailed information on important projects implemented in the field of unified video surveillance system management and traffic safety across the country. During the visit to 112, members of the delegation also got acquainted with the electronic monitoring center operation, they were able to see how the virtual monitoring of the abuser is conducted through the electronic bracelet from the center.
The last visit of the delegation was paid to the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The Rector of the Academy, Ivane Papiashvili, and the Vice-Rector, Irina Abramishvili, briefed the guests on the activities of the Academy, the innovations introduced in the educational institution and the current projects. At the meeting special emphasis was made on the importance of international cooperation with the Czech Republic. In particular, the long-term fruitful cooperation of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia with the Czech Police Education and Training Unit (PETU) was underlined. The Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has a number of important projects connected with the Czech counterparts, among which the development of tactical training and involvement of psychology components in the field of police training is especially noteworthy.
The guests visited the infrastructure of the MIA Academy: training and physical training rooms, simulated border checkpoint, buildings for firing and tactical trainings, hotel, cafeteria and etc.
Within the framework of the five-day visit, the Czech delegation held the meeting with the Minister of Internal Affairs Vakhtang Gomelauri. During the visit, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Inspectorate General of the Security Forces of the Czech Republic.
