The officers of the Division Combating Trafficking and Illegal Migration of the Main Division Combating Organized Crime of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs as a result of the conducted investigative activities on the basis of operative information and by the judge`s decision detained for providing lodging to prostitution I.K. (DoB: 1967) and the citizen of Turkey F.I. (DoB: 1964) in Tbilisi. The crime committed envisages imprisonment from 2 to 4 years in length.
The investigation established that I.K. and F.I. in one of the hotel type facilities located in Tbilisi in exchange for certain pay rented regularly rooms for prostitution. F. I. was the owner of the institution, while I.K. was an administrator and a barman.
The law enforcers interrogated 6 persons as witnesses. The offenders pleaded guilty.
The investigation is in progress on the fact of providing lodging to prostitution (Article 254 of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
