As a result of immediate operative and investigative actions, officers of Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested L.K. (DoB 1986), for premeditated murder, and Z.Sh., (DoB 1990), for failure to report a particularly grave crime.
The committed crime envisions up to 15 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that on January 31 of the current year, on the basis of a mutual dispute, the accused person inflicted several gunshot wounds to T.T. (DoB 1977) in Tbilisi. As a result of the injuries sustained, T.T. died in his own car few minutes after the incident.
Later on, L.K. appeared at the police station and presented the weapon applied while committing the crime. After conducting the relevant investigative actions, he was detained as a suspect.
The investigation also revealed that Z.Sh. witnessed the murder, however did not report the crime to the police.
The investigation into the facts of premeditated murder and illegal purchase, storage and carrying of firearms is in progress under Articles 108 and 236 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
