The officers of Vake-saburtalo police division investigation was launched on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of psychotropic substances. In connection with the mentioned law enforcers detained Rostom N. (DoB 1985).
The accused person was detained during the court process, when guards seized psychotropic drug during his personal search at the court which was places in plastic bag.
Rostom N. was released before the court on bail. At Tbilisi city court his case was being discussed. He was announced as guilty according to the article 260 II part sub-paragraph A (illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in large quantities). According to the verdict the accused person was sentenced to 2 months of imprisonment. Before his transportation to penitentiary facility law enforcers seized the so called “bio” drug during searching procedures defined by the law, which according to expertise the seized drug contains 0,16 gr of psychotropic substance. Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of psychotropic substance (article 260, I1 part, envisaging up to 5 years of imprisonment. Investigation is conducted by Vake-saburtalo police division of MIA.
