The officers of Gldani-Nadzaladevi Division of Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of the investigative activities conducted on the basis of operative information, on the fact of theft detained previously convicted for theft twice and currently being under conditional sentence - D.J. (DoB: 1986). The crime committed envisages imprisonment from 4 to 7 years in length.
The investigation established that the defendant robbed 2 apartments in the 3rd m/d of Gldani, Tbilisi and managed to escape.
As a result of search of a detainee’s flat the police seized stolen items as material evidences.
The offender has pleaded guilty.
The investigation is in progress on the fact of theft (part III of the Article 177 of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
On the same charges the officers of Dedoplistskaro Regional Division of Kakheti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of immediate operative-searching and investigative activities detained L.K. (DoB: 1996) and exposed currently hidden L.B. (DoB: 1995).
The investigation established that the above mentioned persons illegally entered the residential houses of the citizens residing in 9 Brothers str., Dedoplistskaro, where they secretly acquired a variety of family items and jewelry.
The defendants hid one part of the stolen items and took the remaining items to the pawn shop located in the vicinity of the metro station "Isani"; also, they sold out the part of stolen items in the territory of Dry Bridge, so called “Golden Market” located in the vicinity of the metro station “Railway Station” and in Kvareli.
The law enforcers seized a large number of sold and hidden items as material evidences. As soon as the investigative actions are completed, these items will be returned to legal owners.
Recently, the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs as a result of intensive activities solved 16 facts of robbery, detained 13 individuals and exposed 16 individuals on the fact of theft in Tbilisi, Samegrelo, Guria, Kakheti and Shida Kartli.
