Employees of the relevant structural units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs respond promptly to all cases of violation in order to prevent the spread of Coronavirus across the country.
Within the last 24 hours, as a result of monitoring activities carried out by the law enforcement officers 1385 facts of breaching regulations imposed against the spread of COVID-19 have been revealed across the country.
Police have fined 118 persons and two legal entity under article 42 (10) envisaged by the Code of Administrative Offences.
Among those who were fined are citizens who violated the restriction of movement from 9 pm to 5 am.
In addition to the mentioned, during the last 24 hours, 1116 persons were fined for not wearing face masks, crime envisaged under article 42 (11) of the Code of Administrative Offences, while 149 were additionally fined for violating the same article repeatedly.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs calls on the citizens to adhere to the imposed restrictions, otherwise, appropriate measures provided by law will be applied.
Violation of the rule of wearing masks results in administrative liability and a fine in the amount of 20 GEL in accordance with Article 42 (11) of the Criminal Code of Georgia while the repeated violation will result in 40 GEL fine.
Violation of the rules of isolation and quarantine shall result in administrative liability and fine in the amount of 2,000 GEL for physical persons and 10,000 GEL for a legal entity in accordance with the Article 42 (10) of the Code of Administrative Offences. The secondary fine will be treated as a criminal offence committed under the Criminal Code of Georgia.
All persons on the territory of Georgia must follow requirements defined by the Georgian legislation on public health. The Ministry of Internal Affairs calls on citizens to demonstrate high public responsibility and comply with mentioned regulations.
