As a result of operational measures and investigative actions conducted by the employees of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, D.Kh., (DoB 1999) was arrested on charges of preparation of an explosion.
The committed crime envisions up to 7 years of imprisonment.
Law enforcement officers initially arrested the accused person for artificially blocking the traffic roadway during a protest rally and disobeying the lawful request of the police. As a result of a personal search of D.Kh., the so-called “Molotov cocktails” were seized, the use of which could cause serious bodily injury or death.
The police seized two glass bottles, fragments of cloth and a flammable petroleum product (so-called Molotov cocktail) placed in them as evidence.
According to the forensic report, traces of petroleum products are observed on the fragments of cloth wrapped around the glass bottles.
The incident is being investigated under Article 18-229, I part of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
