On December 17, 2014 a corpse of Nato Kvezereli (D.o.B.: 1965) was found in her house in Tbilisi Sea settlement while her son - Guram Kvezereli (D.o.B.: 1986) was disappeared.
As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, the law enforcers established that two individuals had planned the murder of mother and her son for appropriating their money.
To this end, on December 17, 2014 the criminals brought Guram Kvezereli by deception to one of the country houses in Kojori and made a stab with a cold arm at him; G.Kvezereli died as a result of multiple wounds on the scene. In order to conceal the crime, the criminals placed the corpse in a barrel, poured special acid on it and buried in the yard of the house.
On the same day, the criminals – intending to accomplish their plan - went to the sea settlement to the house of Nato Kvezereli, the mother of Guram Kvezereli; they made multiple wounds with a cold arm to Nato Kvezereli who died on the place. The criminals took 12 000 US dollars, 2 firearms registered in the name of Guram Kvezereli, personal belongings from the house and fled from the scene.
As a result of investigation measures carried out by the law enforcers, the corpse of Guram Kvezereli is found as well as the portable computer and his firearm stolen from his house is seized. The relevant examinations are scheduled to identify the criminals, crime sites and the DNA samples taken from the corpses.
Two persons are detained over the mentioned case by the employees of the MIA for failure to report a crime; investigation is in progress under the article 376 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
As for the direct criminals, they are charged under the article 109 of the criminal Code of Georgia, i.e. premeditated murder of two or more persons in aggravated circumstances.
One of the accused is arrested.
Law enforces also established the whereabouts of the other criminal; he is abroad and currently the relevant measures for his extradition are in progress.
