The Minister of Internal Affairs, Vakhtang Gomelauri, held a meeting with the heads of various departments of the Agency.
The meeting was attended by the heads of Border Police, Patrol Police, Administration, General Inspection, Strategic Communications, Human Resources Management, Internal Audit, Operative and information-analytical departments.
Vakhtang Gomelauri received information on quarterly reports from the heads of the structural units, got acquainted with their current and future plans.
At the meeting parties discussed effective steps taken in the direction of effective border management, as well as the process of improving the existing infrastructure on the border sectors and the implemented and ongoing legislative reforms.
The parties reviewed the novelties and projects implemented in different departments, including the renewal of the car fleet in the Patrol Police Department, improvement of the working conditions of patrol inspectors, transfer of new and contemporary equipment in line with the existing standards.
The Minister of Internal Affairs together with the Deputy Minister - Aleksandre Darakhvelidze also held a meeting with the directors of the Departments of Temporary Placement, Legal, International Relations, Migration, Human Rights Protection and Investigation Quality Monitoring and the Rector of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Draft laws elaborated and initiated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs were also discussed at the working meeting.
The leadership of various structural units provided the Minister with detailed information on the activities, as well as on implemented reforms and projects within their competence.
At the end of the meeting, Vakhtang Gomelauri gave relevant instructions to the participants of the meeting and expressed his gratitude for their work.
