Mr. Giorgi Mghebrishvili, the Minister of Internal Affairs and Mr. Guram Tomaradze, the Director of the Security Police Department in Adjara region opened new police building in Batumi. The one-story, modern building, equipped with the latest equipment and inventory shall accommodate the employees of the Security Unit of Batumi Boulevard of the Security Police Department of the MIA. Mr. Giorgi Mghebrishvili personally viewed the building and the infrastructure.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs is strengthening the security measures for the visitors and the vacationers in connection with the opening of a tourist season. Employees of the “Batumi Boulevard” Security Unit of the Security Police Division of Adjara are provided with all the relevant working conditions in a new administrative building. This is already the fifth building opened by the Security Police after Bakuriani, Ureki, Gudauri and Tbilisi (Saburtalo).
With the purpose to improve the working environment for the police the construction of new buildings and other infrastructure projects shall be actively continued this year. Up to 20 buildings of the Security Police shall be rehabilitated and new infrastructures arranged throughout the country.
