The First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Khakhaber Sabanadze participated in the meeting with the NATO Assistant Secretary General, John Manza in a videoconference format.
Within the framework of the meeting, parties discussed the issues within the competence of the Ministry of Internal Affairs under the framework of NATO-Georgia cooperation. Particular attention was drawn to significance of deepening cooperation on Black Sea Security and increasing interoperability with NATO.
Kakhaber Sabanadze underlined the successful cooperation with the NATO Allied Maritime Command (MARCOM) and the role of the Joint Maritime Operations Center (JMOC) in enhancing Maritime Domain Awareness capabilities on the Black Sea region. The First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs also emphasized the progress achieved within the framework of the Operational Capability Concept Evaluation and Feedback (OCC E&F) programme.
At the end of the meeting, Kakhaber Sabanadze expressed his gratitude towards John Manza, for the steady support of the Alliance in Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic integration.
The First Deputy Minister of Defence, Lela Chikovani and the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vakhtang Makharoblishvili have also participated in the online meeting.
