First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Kakhaber Sabanadze, participated in a meeting, where the European side presented a new 2021-2027 Association Agenda draft to Georgian side. The Association Agenda, emboding different thematic areas, ensures effective implementation of the Association Agreement signed in 2014 between the European Union and Georgia.
During the meeting, Kakhaber Sabanadze highlighted the importance of the implementation of the Association Agreement, and efforts and engagement of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in this regard.
From the EU side Director for Russia, Eastern Partnership, Central Asia, Regional Cooperation and OSCE Directorate of the European External Action Service (EEAS), Luc Devigne; the Head of the EU Delegation Carl Hartzell and other representatives of the European Commission attended the meeting.
From Georgian side the meeting was moderated by the first Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vakhtang Makharoblishvili and attended by the high-level representatives of various state agencies.
