First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Shalva Bedoidze, paid a working visit to Israel, where he participated in the International Conference of Heads of Law Enforcement Agencies.
Within the framework of the visit, Shalva Bedoidze held the bilateral meeting with the Commissioner of Israel Police, Yaakov Shabtai. During the meeting, the parties highlighted on the importance of cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries and discussed future perspectives.
As regards to the International Conference, it was attended by the heads of law enforcement agencies from more than 50 countries. The conference was hosted by the Commissioner of Israel Police.
Within the framework of the event, the following issues were covered among others: public order and security, crowd management, fight against terrorism, border security, and emergency management. Conference participants were acquainted in depths with the innovative technologies of Israel Police and their role in responding the challenges coped by the law enforcement authorities.
