The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Nino Tsatsiashvili held a meeting with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Georgia Chief of Mission – Sanja Celebic-Lokovac and Maya Webler - Project Manager for “Enhancing Migrants’ Rights in Georgia and Armenia (EMERGE)”.
At the meeting, the parties discussed upcoming activities planned within the framework of the EMERGE project. The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs also emphasized the importance of active partnership with the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs thanked the IOM Georgia Chief of Mission for the support and assistance provided in various fields throughout the years and in addition, discussed opportunities for further cooperation with the organization.
EMERGE aims to strengthen national capacities in the fields of migrants’ rights and good governance in Armenia and Georgia and deepen cross-border dialogue and cooperation in the area. The project is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway.
