The Ministry of Internal Affairs presented the progress report on the 2023 Action Plan for the Protection of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Aleksandre Darakhvelidze and the Team Leader of the EU-funded project „Advancing Reforms in the Justice Sector in Georgia” - Dušan Kerin, delivered the opening remarks.
The Deputy Minister introduced to the Advisory Group working on the rights of persons with disabilities the activities carried out by the Ministry and underlined the importance of the Group’s involvement in the implementation process of the Action Plan.
The heads of different structural units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, representatives of the international organizations and members of the Advisory Group attended the event.
The meeting aimed to address the outcomes achieved within the scope of the 2023 Action Plan for the Protection of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities as well as discuss the activities envisioned under the succeeding action plan.
The event was held with the support of the EU-funded project “Advancing Reforms in the Justice Sector in Georgia.”
