The Minister of Internal Affairs Vakhtang Gomelauri held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Georgia, Dursun Hasanov. The Ambassador handed to Vakhtang Gomelauri the official letter of congratulations of Azerbaijani counterpart regarding his appointment as the Minister of Internal Affairs.
During the meeting with the Ambassador, Vakhtang Gomelauri underlined the friendly relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan. The parties emphasized the close cooperation existing between the ministries of internal affairs of the two countries in the fields of regional security and combating international organized crime and discussed the perspectives of future cooperation.
Vakhtang Gomelauri expressed his gratitude to the Ambassador for the official letter of congratulations and confirmed his readiness on paying a visit in the nearest future.
