The Minister of Internal Affairs Vakhtang Gomelauri, held a meeting with the Head of Council of Europe Office in Georgia, Cristian Urse.
The parties discussed the ongoing and planned reforms in the Ministry.
Furthermore, the Minister of Internal Affairs and the Head of Council of Europe Office discussed the current challenges, future cooperation plans and priorities of the Ministry.
Vakhtang Gomelauri highlighted the important projects implemented with support of the Council of Europe and expressed gratitude to Christian Urse for long-term effective collaboration.
The Council of Europe has been cooperating with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia for many years and is implementing projects in a number of important directions, including protection of human rights and fight against cybercrime.
