The Minister of Internal Affairs, Vakhtang Gomelauri held a meeting with the Head of the European Union Delegation to Georgia, Paweł Herczyński, Ambassadors and representatives of the EU Member States.
The meeting was attended by the Ambassadors and representatives of the Embassies of Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Estonia, Spain, Greece, France, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania and Sweden.
The parties to the meeting discussed the issues of conducting the events planned within the ‘Tbilisi Pride Week’ in a safe environment. Vakhtang Gomelauri provided European partners with detailed information about the activities of the working group of the representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and ‘Tbilisi Pride’ organizers alongside with the representatives of the diplomatic corps. During the meeting, active work of the working group, aiming at ensuring conduct of the events in a safe environment through exchange of the information and coordination, has been highlighted.
At the end of the meeting, the Minister of Internal Affairs expressed appreciation towards the Head of the EU Delegation to Georgia, Ambassadors and representatives of the EU Member States for their active and close cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
