Minister of Internal Affairs Giorgi Mgebrishvili is paying an official visit to Azerbaijan. Minister held first meeting with his Azerbaijani colleague – Ramil Usubov.
At the meeting sides discussed issues of cooperation in the law enforcing sphere. Giorgi Mgebrishvili and Ramil Usubov made special emphasis on the issue of the fight against the organized crime and terrorism. According to Giorgi Mgebrishvili issues of the organized crime and terrorism is a global challenge and in this respect cooperation between the two countries is of great importance. Minister of Internal Affairs also discussed regional security issues.
Ramil Usubov expressed satisfaction with the two countries particularly fruitful cooperation between law enforcement agencies and stressed the need for sharing experiences. Minister of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan spoke about the necessity of deepening cooperation between the Police Academies of Georgia and Azerbaijan.
Giorgi Mgebrishvili and Ramil Usubov outlined the importance of the agreements concluded between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries and reviewed future plans.
