Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Monitoring Committee pays an official visit to Georgia. Within the frames of the visit, Heads of the delegation – Michael Jensen and Boris Silevich met the Minister of Internal Affairs – Alexandre Chikaidze.
The parties discussed Georgia’s responsibilities toward the Council, police reform and human rights issues.
Within the frames of the visit members of the committee met with the Prime Minister of Georgia, the President of Georgia, Ministers of Justice and Foreign Affairs, Minister of Corrections and Legal Assistance, Public Defender, members of the Parliament and with several non-governmental organizations.
