Within the frames of “World Congress on CBRN Science and Consequence Management” Assistant Secretary of Defense for Nuclear, Chemical and Biological Defense Programs, Andrew Webber is paying an official visit to Georgia. Today Minister of Internal Affairs Aleksandre Tchikaidze held meeting with Mr. Webber. At the meeting sides discussed future prospects and ongoing issues of co-operation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and US Defense Threat Reduction Agency.
At the meeting parties have once again underlined the importance of the World Congress for Georgia and for the region as a whole. The mentioned Congress is being held in Georgia for the first time and hosted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The honorable director of the Congress is the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashsvili, who is the initiator of creating joint approach in the field of CBRN threats.
