In order to ensure safe traffic movement, from February 5, 2021, Public Safety Management Center “112” will additionally launch 7 new speed sections in Gardabani municipality in 7 locations:
1. From 21 Km of Tbilisi- Bakurtsikhe-Lagodekhi highway, (Sagarejo direction) till 28th Km of Tbilisi- Bakurtsikhe-Lagodekhi highway (till Gombori ), where the permitted speed limit will be up to 80 Km in hour;
2. From 28 km of Tbilisi- Bakurtsikhe-Lagodekhi highway (Gombori crossing I, Sagarejo direction) till 33 Km (till the entrance of Sartitchala) of Tbilisi- Bakurtsikhe-Lagodekhi highway, where the permitted speed limit will be up to 80 Km in hour;
3. From 28 km of Tbilisi- Bakurtsikhe-Lagodekhi highway, (II turning to the direction of Gombori, Sagarejo direction), where the permitted speed limit will be up to 80 Km in hour;
4. From 33 Km of Tbilisi- Bakurtsikhe-Lagodekhi highway, (Sartitchala entrance, Sagarejo direction) till 35 km of Tbilisi- Bakurtsikhe-Lagodekhi highway (Sartitchala exit), where the permitted speed limit will be up to 80 Km in hour;
5. From 35 Km of Tbilisi- Bakurtsikhe-Lagodekhi highway (Sartichala entrance, Tbilisi Direction), till 33 km of Tbilisi- Bakurtsikhe-Lagodekhi highway (Sartichala exit), where the permitted speed limit will be up to 60 Km in hour;
6. From 33 Km of Tbilisi- Bakurtsikhe-Lagodekhi highway (Sartichala exit, direction Tbilisi), till 28 km Tbilisi- Bakurtsikhe-Lagodekhi highway ( Gombori turning) where the permitted speed limit will be up to 80 Km in hour;
7. From 26 Km Tbilisi- Bakurtsikhe-Lagodekhi highway (Gombori Turning, Tbilisi direction) till 21 km of the same highway up to the Vaziani Turning, where the permitted speed limit will be up to 80 Km in hour;
After launching 7 additional speed control sections 1185 km long highway will be monitored by the speed sectional control systems throughout Georgia.
