On December 11 Georgian Bureau of Interpol conducted the extradition of the Turkish citizen Ali O. (DoB 1983) wanted under the red notice by the Georgian law enforcement agencies.
The mentioned perso was wanted by Georgian law enforcement agencies Violation of Traffic Safety or Maintenance Rule which caused the death and for leaving a person in danger.
On March 12, 2014 Ali O. crashed into a pedestrian Ana S. with his Mercdes Benz made vehicle in Tbilisi and left her, fleeing from the place of crime. Due to the received injuries Ana S. died at the place of crime.
Ali O. became wanted under the red notice on March 10, 2015. Law enforcers actively cooperated with the Interpol member states for his detention and localization.
It was established that the wanted person was on the territory of Russian federation. On June 18, 2015 Ali O. was detained in Russia on the basis of the request of the Georgian Prosecutor’s Office, namely in North Ossetia Republic. He was subject to procedures of extradition defined by the legislation.
