Within the frames of cooperation the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia is hosting delegation of Armenian police. The format of meeting between police chiefs of border regions has widened. Head of cridminal cases division Gagik Avetisian and deputy chief of international relations division of the staff Aleksandre Arabian were hosted by Ivane Papiashvili Director of MIA Central Criminal Police Department and head of International Relations Department Shalva Kvinikhidze.
The head of Kvemo Kartli regionam main division Levan Kvitsiani as well as head of Samtskhe-Javakheti regional main division Teimuraz Kalandadze, along with their Armenian colleagues from various provinces, namelu with Arshavir Gevorgian, Vardan Nadarian and Artak Karapetian, discussed problems related to regions located near to the state border. Parties also reviewed ways to redress the mentioned issues and intensification of the existing cooperation.
At the meeting issues related to elaboration of joint mechanisms to fight against trans-border organized crime, drug crime, trafficking, cybercrime as well as topics of intensification of cooperation and active collaboration in search activities.
Armenian delegation also visited “112”. Guests got familiarized with work specifics and mechanisms for coordination with regard to other agencies. Delegation was also hosted at Old Tbilisi police division, which has undergone successful reforms. They received information on the scheduled future projects and reforms of the division.
