As a result of jointly held activities carried out by Tbilisi and Sofia Interpol Bureaus, law enforcers detained Zaza B. (DoB 1971) in the republic of Bulgaria.
The abovementioned person was wanted by Georgian Law Enforcement Agencies since 2009 for crimes envisaged by article 19-108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which implies attempted murder.
On September 27th, 2009 Zaza B. on the basis of jealousy inflicted several grave injuries with cold steel in retaliation and fled from the crime scene.
Justice Ministry of Georgia and Main Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia were informed on the detention of the abovementioned person by Tbilisi Interpol Bureau. Pre-extradition procedures on the basis of delivered materials by Tbilisi Interpol Bureau are underway.
