Ajara Regional Division as a result of investigative-searching activities detained three persons at Sarpi customs, in particular: Turkish citizen Turkls T. (DoB 1959) and citizens of Bangladesh – Muskat A. (DoB 1993) and Murad M. (Dob 1986)
Law enforcers detected cache in the DAF truck as a result of the detailed examination and found citizens of Bangladesh in it. Investigation established that Turkish citizen Turkls T. attempted to bring Bangladeshi citizens across Turkish-Georgian state border illegally.
Investigation against Turkish citizen is in progress under the article 19-344, I part (migrant smuggling attempt at the state border) while investigation against Bangladeshi citizens is in progress on the fact of the attempted crossing of the state border, article 19-344 I part of the Criminal Code.
