Director of the Patrol Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs – Vazha Siradze visited a 15-year-old Giorgi Palelashvili in his house, who was wounded in October of 2019 and handed over a police uniform as a surprise gift.
The incident took place near “Akhmeteli Theatre” subway station. Under aged Giorgi Palelishvil was returning home along with his friends, when two civilians under the alcohol influence, who were engaged in argument with other party, started out a fight with Giorgi Papelishvili’s friend and his father. Palelishvili made attempts to ease the tension and help his friend and father, in the process of which he was wounded with a cold steel by a stranger.
Police managed to detain the offender at the place of crime. As a result of the incident Giorgi Palelishvili was transferred to the hospital, where he underwent an immediate surgery.
Thanks to the Facebook status posted by Giorgi’s teacher, representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs found out that Giorgi was dreaming of becoming a policeman and of having the real police uniform. Before surgery, minor even wrote a letter where he addressed his mother with the following words: “Of course, I will take care of people in the future… Ministry of Internal Affairs”.

Vazha Siradze also took the minor to Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs where future police officers are trained. At the Academy, the guests were hosted by the Rector- Ivane Papiashvili, who familiarized Giorgi with the specifics of the study process, took him to the Academy building, shooting range and “Shoot house” as well.
