The officers of Shida Kartli main division under Patrol Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative and investigative activities, detained G.S. in Gori, who is accused of illegal purchase-keeping and carrying of firearms and ammunition as well as hooliganism committed by using firearm.
The committed crime envisages from 4 to 7 years of imprisonment.
Investigation established that detainee made several untargeted shots from the automatic weapon on one of the streets of Gori. He offered resistance to the Patrol Police officers during the arrest.
During the personal search of the detainee, law enforcers seized the automatic weapon with 26 bullets as evidence. 6 empty bullet cartridges fired from the automatic weapon have also been seized from the nearby territory.
During the search activities held in detainee’s house, law enforcers have also seized a cut gun with ammunition cartridges. Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase-keeping and carrying of firearms and ammunition and hooliganism committed by using a weapon, article 236 III and IV parts and article 239, III part envisaged by the Criminal Code of Georgia.
