Along with Georgian units, Ukrainian, Azerbaijani, Turkish and Iranian aviation will also be involved in fire-extinguishing activities.
After the telephone conversation between the president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and Prime Minister of Georgia, Giorgi Kvirikashvili, it was decided that Ukrainian rescue plane will be sent to Georgia, which will be involved in fire-extinguishing process in the nearest hours.
Azerbaijani side also expressed eagerness to involve helicopter in fire-extinguishing operation along with Georgian side. Azerbaijani helicopter has already flown to the direction of Georgia.
In a few hours, two helicopters and one plane from Turkey will arrive in Georgia.
The Islamic Republic of Iran will also assist Georgia with two fire-rescue helicopters.
At this stage, more than 1000 people from various MIA units and representatives of other agencies are deployed in Abastumani.
As a result of special activities which were held throughout the night, the areal of fire did not spread on other territories. 5 km length new road was made, allowing special technic to operate in the zone.
Artificial water reservoir has also been arranged for the aviation.
Field operations center will continue operation in round-the-clock regime.
