The rescuers of the Emergency Situations Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs completed the liquidation and rescue mission of the consequences of the earthquake in Turkey.
According to the decision of the Prime Minister, Irakli Gharibashvili, Georgian rescuers flew from Turkey to their homeland on a special charter flight.
The rescuers who returned to Georgia were met at Tbilisi International Airport by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs - Ioseb Chelidze, the Head of the Emergency Situations Management Service - Teimuraz Mgebrishvili and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Turkey to Georgia - Ali Kaan Orbai, who thanked the members of the rescue team for their dedication in Turkey.
Part of the Georgian rescuers, with rescue equipment, will return to their homeland by land.
According to the decision of the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Gharibashvili, the rescuers of the Emergency Situations Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs left for Turkey, the city of Adiyaman, on the first day of the disaster, and after the rotation, they continued the rescue operation in the city of Antakya, Hatay province.
In total, about 200 rescuers participated in the liquidation and rescue measures of the earthquake results.
