On May 18-22, 2015 Deputy Head of Analysis, Information and International Cooperation Department, Maritime Unit of the Border Guard of the Republic of Poland, Lieutenant Commander Karol Turzynski visited the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia. The visit was held in the framework of IOM project “Reinforcing capabilities of the Government of Georgia in Border and Migration Management” financed by the European Union.
The aim of the visit is to elaborate an action plan and implement the “Unified system Concept of Risk and Threat Analysis at the State Border of Georgia”.
Within the frames of the visit expert met with the representatives of different units, got acquainted with their functions and responsibilities. At Georgian-Azerbaijan State border the expert visited green border and border crossing points; furthermore met with representatives of the Finance Ministry's Customs Service and got familiar with the methods of information exchange between the agencies, who are involved in the process of integrated border management.
