As a result of operational and investigative actions, the employees of the main division of fight against human trafficking and illegal migration of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested 4 people.
M.M., born in 1983; S.A. born in 1993; B.C. born in 1961 and P.Ts born in 1978 were arrested on charges of trafficking.
Among the arrested are citizens of Georgia and foreign countries.
The committed crime envisions 12 to 15 years of prison.
The conducted investigation established that the defendants, foreign citizens M.M. born in 1983 and S.A. born in 1993, developed a human trafficking plan.
In order to carry out the mentioned plan and perform labor exploitation, the victims, including a person with disabilities, were forced to ask for mercy in different places in Tbilisi with psychological pressure and threats of physical punishment, and the money obtained was appropriated.
If the victims did not comply with the demands of the defendants, they were verbally and physically assaulted.
Defendants were assisted in the implementation of criminal actions by the accused: B.C., born in 1961. and P.S., born in 1978, who ensured that the victims were taken to "work" locations and then returned to the perpetrators. Also, the aforementioned controled and supervised the victims during the day.
The investigation is being conducted under the second and third parts of Article 143 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
