The officers of Old Tbilisi police division under Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of police activities detained previously convicted G.R. (DoB 1979) for violating requirements of the restraining order and non-compliance of obligations.
Committed crime envisages up to one year of imprisonment.
Investigation established that detainee failed to comply with requirements stipulated in the restraining order which was issued by the law enforcers for the psychological pressure perpetrated against his wife – L.K.
On March 12, Tbilisi City Court made a decision to issue the arrest warrant against G.R. in absentia on the fact of violating terms of the restraining order. The defendant himself was not present at the trial, therefore, the prosecutor issued a ruling declaring G.R. as wanted person.
Within a few hours after the Court decision, law enforcers took G.R under arrest in Tbilisi.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of violating requirements of the restraining order and non-compliance of obligations, article 111 and article 381, I part envisaged by the Criminal Code of Georgia.
