Employees of Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operational measures and investigative activities detained I.Z. (DoB 2002) for premeditated murder.
The committed crime envisions up to 15 years in prison.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs' Public Safety Command Center "112" received a message from one of the apartment owners that the door of the apartment rented by him was closed, and the tenant - foreign citizen I.Z. did not respond.
Based on the received notification, rescuers from the Emergency Situations Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrived at the scene and started to unlock the door of the mentioned apartment, in the process of which I.Z. opened the door from the inside and tried to escape. He resisted the employees of Emergency Situations Management Service, however, the rescuers did not allow him to leave the place and managed to stop him before the arrival of the police.
As a result of the conducted operational measures and investigative actions, it was established that a man, a citizen of a foreign country, inflicted physical injuries on the body of a Georgian citizen - M.S. (DoB 1982), in a rented apartment located in Tbilisi, as a result of which the woman died on the place of crime.
The investigation is being conducted under Article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which implies premeditated murder.
