The Ministry of Internal Affairs, in accordance with the decision of the Interagency Coordination Council of the Government of Georgia, continues to monitor the implementation of the rules and recommendations imposed against the spread of "Covid 19” across the country.
The Officers of the Old Tbilisi police Division under Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs locked down the night club disguised as the recording studio – “In Da House” Ltd. located on the right side of the Mtkvari River, under the Galaktioni Bridge.
It was established that the company was fined with 10,000-10,000 GEL twice in November of the current year by the Labor Inspection Department for non-compliance with the requirements of the Resolution N322, "On Approval of Isolation and Quarantine Rules” adopted by the Georgian government on May 23, 2020, crime envisaged under the article 4210 of the Code of Administrative Offences. It was also established that in order to avoid paying the fine, the company changed its name several times and the nightclub continued to operate. "In Da House" was engaged in prohibited economic activities, in particular, the company operated a nightclub and bar where citizens went and stayed there even after the curfew time - 21:00 pm.
An investigation has been launched against “In Da House” for prohibited economic activities under Article 2481 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which stipulates repeated violation of the rules of isolation and quarantine.
Within the frames of the investigation, the law enforcers conducted the searched of “Inn Da House” Ltd. located under the Galaktioni Bridge on the basis of the relevant decision of the Court and sealed the facility.
In order to expose new circumstances, operative and investigative activities are in progress.
Ministry of Internal Affairs would like to remind citizens that violation of the rules of isolation and quarantine shall result in administrative liability and fine in the amount of 2,000 GEL for physical persons and 10,000 GEL for a legal entity in accordance with Article 42 (10) under the Code of Administrative Offences. The secondary fine will be treated as a criminal offense committed under the Criminal Code of Georgia.
