The officers of Isani-Samgori Police Main Division of Tbilisi Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained previously convicted and currently on probation - D.G.(DoB1990) as a result of operative-investigative activities for theft.
The committed crime envisages from 4 to 7 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that the accused person secretly broke into a citizen's apartment in Varketili district on September 10 the current year, stole various items and fled the scene. Police arrested D.G. Shortly after the incident, as a result of immediate police activities.
The investigation of the case also revealed that the accused secretly broke into several apartments in different districts of Tbilisi for theft.
During the search of D.G.'s apartment, law enforcement officers seized part of illegally appropriated items and presumably a firearm as evidence.
The theft is being investigated under Article 177, Part III, Sub-paragraph "C" of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
