The officers of Kobuleti Police division under Adjara Police Department along with Border Police Operative-Investigative Main Division, as a result of jointly held operative-search and investigative activities detained previously convicted persons: G.G. (DoB 1992), K.S. (DoB 1980) G.G. 1990) G.K. (DoB 1981), and A.M. (DoB 1984) for illegal restriction of freedom committed by the group with a prior agreement.
Committed crime envisages from 7 to 10 years of imprisonment.
Investigation established that G.G. born in 1992, along with K.S. and G.G. physically assaulted O.K. (DoB 1983) in his place of temporary residence, located in Tbilisi for the disagreement that took place in the past. After the assault, the mentioned persons illegally restricted freedom to O.K. under the pressure of the cold steel and took them to Kobuleti with a vehicle owned by A.M. After the incident, detainees replaced O.K. in G.K’s vehicle and took him to the direction of Kvirike village, Kobuleti, where the vehicle was stopped by the law enforcers. Police managed to detain G.G. K.S. G.K. and G.G. on the scene while A.M. was detained several hours later.
Law enforcers have already seized both vehicles and the weapon of crime- knife.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal restriction of freedom with a prior agreement by the group with violence or threat of violence dangerous for life or health, crime envisaged under the article 143, III part, sub-paragraphs “A” and “C” of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
